I picked up Bill yesterday who was able to visit through the weekend due to an urgent business trip and couldn't help but think as I drove to the airport (explaining why I get lost and miss turns). The weather was typical for the time of year again, which is a bit cool for me, but I was just looking at the city and thought "Hey, I'm pretty happy here." I still miss home and friends but life has finally settled down to a point that I live here in Germany now.

A work colleague in Anderson challenged me to be able to look in the mirror and smile after 4 months here, the same one I could muster at home, and I think I've more than met his challenge. We should have bet money, except neither of us do.

Now I'm counting down the days until vacation starts and I can see everyone to ramble endlessly and bore them in person instead of writing it here. So far I've got a trip to Florida for me, Several trips to god-knows-where when my Mom gets here, a med cruise with Bill, and a short hop to London/Amsterdam with Jodie. The only downer is my youngest brother won't be coming this summer. Apparently Colorado Springs is more exciting. Too bad for him.
